The highly versatile Daiwa Lexa 300 Baitcast Reel is perfect for muskie and striper. Daiwa's outstanding baitcaster comes with a dual-paddle handle and smooth UT carbon drag that can stop a train! A silky smooth 7-bearing system is comprised of 4 ball bearings + 2 corrosion-resistant ball bearings + 1 roller bearing. The Lexa's advanced design allows for a large line-capacity reel with a very stout drag—in the size and feel of a much smaller reel. Other features include an aluminum sideplate, infinite anti-reverse, and a precision balanced, free-floating aluminum spool. A rugged, five-point drive train system assures positive, "no-hassle" operation.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great reel I bot this for swimbait fishing and got out and used it and i love it. For the money its really good. Casts Better than i though it would. Even casts a S-Waver great even when it helicopters. Turned the mag brake down to 2-3 and it casts CRAZY far. But almost backlashes 3-4-5 are perfect settings for 1-3oz swimbaits.. March 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost Perfect How I love the power of this real but the down side is it noisy on the cast and retrieve. I sent the first one back thinking it was just that reel, but it is a problem with the family. I am going to get it lubed up to my satisfaction and see what happens. As long as it stays country strong I am going to hang on to it. On a side not, for such a large reel I can cast a 1/8 oz lure without fear. Aside from the sound, it seems to be a sound reel…lol February 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by fantastic reel This is a great reel. Easy to setup cast really smooth Drag is very good. I really like this reel. January 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Fish Ambitions This is the reel for the bait caster with big fish ambitions. Got this reel as a gift and did not think anything was special about it until I took it apart to lubricate it to my specs. This reel has a monster main gear and drag washers you would expect in a reel 2 or 3 times it's size. Did not measure the drag pull but it looks like it would make the advertized 22 lb. of drag easy. The crank shaft that supports the massive beautiful crank handle and monster main gear is supported by 3 bearings. 2 sealed bearings and anti-reverse bearing. The anti-reverse bearing is backed up with a rachet pawl in case the anti-reverse bearing was to slip. This reel is made for cranking and pulling. The spool shaft is supported by a bearing that seats on the crank side of reel frame and another bearing on the magnetic cast controle cover. This reel cast and cranks beautifully. Been a Garcia and Shimano fan most of my life with both their round and low profile baitcasters. The Diawa Lexa 300 makes me rethink that. January 16, 2013

A:
No! I think Diawa made this thing to cast and not soak bait.
