The Daiwa Lexa 100 Baitcast Reel introduces a unique mold design and a host of features. First, you'll notice an aluminum frame and sideplate (gear side). Outstandingly smooth in operation, the Lexa 100 Reel boasts a UT drag system and Magforce Cast Control. Equipped with an infinite anti-reverse and rugged, six-point drive train support, this precision balanced, super lightweight aluminum reel is capable of casting the lightest lures, and is ready for a fight when the going gets tough. Oh yeah, this baby retrieves a lot of line with each crank of the handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing reel!! This reel is absolutely subperb! The magnetic brake is exceptionally easy to adjust, I can even do it without changing the way I am holding the reel. All my other reels I have to turn sideways to make adjustments. It is as smooth as butter, I have never fished with a smoother reel. I paired the 6.3:1 with a 7'6" BPS cranking stick and it has been great. The microclick drag is also great, it makes it really easy to find the exact right amount of drag even when actively fighting a fish. It is my favorite reel and has performed far beyond what i expected of it. The handles also have great grips on them, on all my other casters(all costing over $100) I have had to put grip covers on the handles but these were great right out of the box. Diawa did an excellent job getting this reel right! It easily compares to the front line reels of the other brands that cost over $200. Everybody who considers themselves a fisherman should own one of these reels. April 20, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic reel Extremely happy with this reel. Casts extremely well, in fact, is the first BC reel I've used that I was able to set and cast weightless (4" Stik-O) worms without backlash, and without thumbing the spool. Granted, casting distance is about 60 feet, but for what I need, that's perfect. Not looking to win a casting contest. Highly recommend this reel for anyone seeking a "value" priced, but reliable baitcaster. Is also suitable for saltwater fishing, so another plus there. November 10, 2012
