Rated 5 out of 5 by Great reel I bought 1 then I had to go back and buy another. This reel is my ace in the hole when I’m having a slow day, it never lets me. I have read other reviews saying that it’s not worth the money, I would have to disagree. I have been contemplating putting braided line on it but I haven’t heard of anyone doing it. June 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spincast excellence! I own 5 of these reels and fish both in the states and overseas. Top quality product that will perfom very well. No matter if its an 8 lb. Florida bass or pulling in 100 plus peacocks per day in Panama it works! July 18, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Would like to try closed face reel Have not tried on water but throwing in back yard it works great May 4, 2011

I use Fireline on the 10 with no problems so far. Do not troll though, the line tightens on the spool to the point that casting is impossible.

Yes. But, I would buy the Zebco Omega... no clicking noise when you retrieve plus the Zebco has three pick-up prongs on the spindle were the Diawa only has two.
