Does not bring in line as fast as stated. Lighter, cheaper reels do as well such as Daiwa's Silvercast (though the Silvercast suffers from line putting a groove in the pick-up bell that catches line on the cast unless sanded or filed).

This reel has been the most durable spin cast reel I have ever used for my kids. I have 3 boys 8,4, and 2 they can fish with these reels with little effort on my part to assist them. The reels cast nice and rarely do I have line trouble. I use the line it comes with until it gets old then I put 8lb maxima back on it being carefull not to put too much line on I have had little trouble.
