Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatterasfisherman Excellent reel
Emblem pro 6000, 2 1/2 years old on an Ocean Master, 6-12 oz, 12 ft long, cape point special. I fish Hatteras island surf 5 weeks a year in all weather conditions with braided power pro line and not one problem. Strong smooth drag, no wind knots.Highly recommend this reel.

Use this reel 3-5 times a week for stripers, have caught up to 30lbers and this things handles them like nothing. I have thrown top-water to jigging 6oz with this reel. Its smooth and most important, consistent. Line lay evenly when retrieving, haven't had any wind knot issue. I like the manual bail, haven't has issues with it prematurely closing while casting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CapeFisherman Love It!!!!!!
Ive had so many different reels and this is by far my favorite spinning reel, i use it for striped bass, tautog, bluefish, and so on. has not let me down once and would love to get an 80lb tuna hooked onto it. I could go on and on about this reel but simply if its a great reel, i would have expected to spend more money on for a reel with these features. Oh and the pictures dont do this reel justice, when i opened the package this reel just shines and looks great my hands were a bit shaky when holding it i was so excitied!!!! Love the spare spool to. I only use diawa since ive purchased this reel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by gabe364 Plasic is not fantastic
The smoothest and most powerful drag on the market. Tightens on a slight twist. Whats a good drag without solid components? The knob that tightens the handle broke off for no reason on only the third outing with this reel. It is made of some really flimsy low quality plastic. Huge daiwa fan, but this reel just has way too much plastic for the price. First let down for me bye daiwa. Do not buy. Also, the body is made of plastic. There are 30 dollar reels on the market today with metal bodies common daiwa!!
