Performance plus value equals the Daiwa D-Wave Saltwater Spinning Rod and Reel Combo. The D-Wave Combo provides the smooth-handling power anglers need to dominate inshore.

The smooth operating Daiwa D-Wave Spinning Reel is a large capacity reel with Digigear technology for a winning combination of power and speed. Engineered with a long-casting Advanced Ballistic System aluminum spool the D-Wave Reel lets line flow freely in larger coils and produces less line memory and friction. The reel's Twist Buster II line roller works to reduce line twist and the Gyro Spin Balanced Rotor works to balance all components for super smooth retrieves. Pre-spooled with 14-lb. mono line.

Fiberglass blank construction ensures the Daiwa D-Wave Rod has the right combination of power and sensitivity, while the aluminum oxide guides and stainless steel hooded reel seat provide the necessary corrosion resistance to stand up to saltwater environments. Two-piece construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bang for your buck I purchased the D Wave a few weeks ago, and is currently my favorite pole right now. I fish the bay from the shore line and it catches fish with no problems what so ever. Very fun pole, at a great price. February 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible investment Bought three of these combos 2 years ago for myself, my dad, and my brother to use for vacation fishing at the beach. First year, the anti-reverse went out on one. Returned to Bass Pro for refund (bought warranty for only one). This year, anti-reverse went out on another, and eyelets are losing plastic rings and/or breaking on the remaining two. Take the money you would spend on this and put it toward another brand. This combo comes with a 4000 size reel with an 8 foot rod. This reel has one ball bearing. You can use braided line with this combo. Per the manufacturer they have not seen any of these rods come back with issues due to braid. Thanks
