Daiwa® Coastal™ Inshore Coast-to-Coast Spinning Rods
Tougher than it looks
Thought I was in trouble with a hefty keeper when fishing for schoolies one morning. To my surprise I was able to muscle the 38 incher to the boat with out ever turning down the drag. Nice rod all around - good balance/guides/grip .... paired with a Shimano Spheros.

Great rod, poor guides
I have four of these rods, 3 spinning and 1 bait cast. Purchased all from BassPro.
Love the rods but three have had inserts come loose from the guides. Fortunately, as the insert was still around the line, I didn't loose them. Epoxyed back in and still using them but I expected better out of Daiwa and Fuji.

You usually can't go wrong with daiwa gear and this rod is proof. I went through 2 redbones and an allstar and then picked up this one to put my daiwa capricorn on. I am very pleased with it even after 4 years and tons of fish. From big inshore snook and reds to hefty alaska kings and 45" northern pike nothing could phase this rod. Its comfortable and rugged with good sensativity and great balance.

can handle grouper
i'v had this rod for six months and have caught many redfish .recently i went fishing around some shallow bridge pilings in search of mango snapper.one fish i hooked felt like a reel fighter.it went straight back under the piling.i was able to wrench the fish away without any problems.when i got it to shore i discovered i had a large 6 lb grouper.now i wouldn't recommend this rod for offshore wreck fishing but it does have the power to turn a fish when you need it.
