Daiwa AccuDepth Lead Core Line Trolling and Planer Board Specialty Rod 4 5 1 1
Hoping for the Best I recently bought two of these 8’6” planer board rods (ADPB86TMHFB) at my local Bass Pro in Denver and plan to buy two more for Walleye trolling in Colorado and Utah. Both the 8’6” and the 7’10” (ADPB710TMHFB) have cork handles with a trigger and the Daiwa website lists them as “Walleye Planer Board” rods. The 6’ and the 6’6” say they are for “Leadcore Line Trolling” and appear to have EVS handles. Previously I had four of the 7’6” Daiwa ADPR762ML trolling rod with the 17LC reels from bass pro, but like the reviews online my reel seats broke away from the blank and the reel spun around the pole. I returned all four of those Accudepth combos for a full refund and am starting over. Hopefully these 8’6” rods will work out better than the last Daiwa rods because I love the line counter reels that they make. I am running four of the ADP27LCB reels. I can’t find a better price on a trolling rod that has a cork handle that is also telescopic 1 piece. January 29, 2013
