Cuddeback Seen IR Game Camera
This camera took decent pictures for me during the summer months. Once October came around the video feature stopped working and it does not take pictures of everything that walks in front of it. I placed this camera on a trail on the way to one of my sets to see if it would capture my picture as I walked in and out. It even failed to do that. I run 5 cameras just about year round and this is easily my least favorite camera.

Do Not Buy CUDDEBACK!
"I don't have this model but I have owned several different Cuddebacks in the past and had problems with every single one. They work good for the first year or so but it never fails, as soon as the warranty is up the problems start. I had 4 different Cuddeback Capture cameras which all had problems at one time or another until eventually couldn't be fixed. Like a fool, I chose to use their "fix with new" option and trade in my old captures with new Attack cameras. They have all had warranty work done on them, anything from flash not working to sticking on video mode. I recently checked them and had several black photos. The first thing Cuddeback support will tell you is to make sure batteries are good. Well, after $30 worth of batteries I checked them again this morning--more black photos. I'm through with Cuddeback. I bet have of the good reviews about them were written within the first year before they quit working. If you still want to take a chance with them go ahead but consider yourself warned!"

I purchased a Cuddeback Seen IR Game Camera from Bass Pro during a sale event. I had heard from friends that Cuddeback was the best on the market. Unfortunately, I have quickly learned to regret my purchase. I recently had the Cuddeback and a Bushnell game camera aimed at an elk wallow and the Cuddeback failed miserably at night. The IR flash couldn't illuminate animals that were within 30'. Thankfully, I have the images from the Bushnell to show me what the Cuddeback missed. The daytime phots are vivid and clear, for the most part, but even then the Bushnell was detecting them at greater distances. I realize the Seen IR is a lower end model, but it sure leaves a sour taste in my mouth for the brand as a whole. I'm glad I didn't gamble on their more expensive lines. You can compare the 2 nightime photos that I have attached of the same wallow to compare for yourselves. The image barely visible in the SEEN photo is more clearly "seen" in the Bushnell photo. Seeing is beliving.

Never Buy any Cuddeback
Purchased Three of the Cuddeback game cameras. The first one lasted about 6 months before I started having problems with it. I went on the website to troubleshoot and went through the ridiculously troublesome process of updating the camera which made it work again for a short period of time. The next year I purchased the newer version of the camera which worked great again for about six months. While the second camera was still working I sent the first one in on a fix with new program where you purchase the newer model for half off. It seemed like a good deal at the time until I started having problems with the second camera which is the same camera that I purchased at the discounted rate. I sent my first camera in to get replaced with my safety box and am still waiting for them to get to me. Meanwhile the flash on my newer second camera is not working so I had to get a service RMA and send that one back to Cuddeback. Then I call two weeks later to ask where the fix with new replacement camera is and they tell me that they didn't send it out because they were waiting to get the safety boxes in for that camera. I asked how long that would take and the lady said, well we aren't going to get any in because we have discontinued the camera, the same camera that I just bought a new one of and ordered a fix with new replacement for. I don't know if you caught that she told me they were waiting to send my replacement because they were waiting to get the safety boxes in that they were not getting anymore of because they were discontinued. That makes no sense!. Then today I call in to ask where my camera is because they said they would send it to me and send me a reconditioned safety box when they get one in and the lady tells me that she would have someone call me back because there is no one there that can tell me if my camera has been sent to me yet. I am still waiting for a call back after 2 hours. Oh and I forgot, I put a service question inquiry on the website for them to call me two weeks ago and I still have not heard from them. Do yourself a favor and never buy a Cuddeback. Not only do the cameras not work, but the customer service is beyond terrible.
