Powered by Crosman's Nitro Piston technology, the Vantage 1200 Air Rifle combines a quiet, powerful shot with ultra-smooth cocking action and improved accuracy. Using a nitrogen-filled gas piston instead of the traditional coiled steel spring, the Vantage 1200 cranks .177 caliber alloy pellets out at 1200 fps for effective varmint control and small game hunting. This new propulsion system delivers an extremely quiet shot (70% reduction in shot noise over leading models), smooth cocking action (just 28 lbs. of force to cock), and reduced recoil and vibration after the shot. The Nitro Piston also does not lose any velocity when cocked for long periods, nor suffer any adverse affect from temperature. The Vantage 1200 combines this superior powerplant with a two-stage adjustable trigger, stained hardwood stock with satin finish, blued bull barrel, and ventilated rubber recoil pad for easy, accurate shooting. This deadly accurate airgun comes with fiber optic sights and a precision 4x32 CenterPoint airgun scope with two-piece ring mounts to help you lock onto your target every time. Length: 44.5". Rated 5 out of 5 by Powerful and Accurate Air Rifle I went to Bass Pro looking for an RWS 34 Diana and came home with this because of the price, nitro piston, and the fact that the store was out of 34's and I wanted some instant gratification! I was very skeptical about this gun, but read some reviews on the net that gave it a thumbs up. For the price you can not go wrong. I took it out of the box and began hitting spinner targets set up for .22 long rifle right out of the box. It was sighted in and deadly accurate. I was blown away by the power and quiet operation of this gun. The wood stock finish has a lot to be desired, but the mechanics of this gun are awesome. I have not mounted the scope yet, but it appears to be decent. It is a blast with iron sights and I would recommend this to anyone. January 24, 2013
