Powered by Crosman's Nitro Piston technology, the Vantage NP Air Rifle combines a quiet, powerful shot with ultra-smooth cocking action and improved accuracy. Using a nitrogen-filled gas piston instead of the traditional coiled steel spring, the Vantage NP cranks .177 caliber alloy pellets out at speeds of up to 1200 fps for effective varmint control and small game hunting. This new propulsion system delivers an extremely quiet shot (70% reduction in shot noise over leading models), smooth cocking action (just 28 lbs. of force to cock), and reduced recoil and vibration after the shot. The Nitro Piston also does not lose any velocity when cocked for long periods, nor suffer any adverse affect from temperature. The Vantage combines this superior powerplant with a two-stage adjustable trigger, stained hardwood stock with satin finish, blued bull barrel, and ventilated rubber recoil pad for easy, accurate shooting. This deadly accurate airgun comes with fiber optic sights and a precision 4x32 CenterPoint airgun scope with two-piece ring mounts to help you lock onto your target every time. Length: 44.5". Weight: 6.02 lbs.
Manufacturer model #: 30021 (1200 fps) or 7-30030 (495 fps).

Rated 5 out of 5 by GWITAM Very Good Air Rifle
I recently purchased this air rifle, after reviewing a number of other options. I am extremely pleased with the overall quality, the power and the accuracy. I initially fired about 10 rounds to familiarize myself with the gun. I never mounted the scope, as I had not planned to use it anyway. I fired 6 pellets at a standard target at 20 yards. Five of the six were within a one inch circle on the target center. In other words, the sights were set perfectly and required no adjustment.
I was impressed with the accuracy, as I used an improvised rest and I do no target shooting at all. The fiber optic front and rear sights provide a very good sight picture.
The gun is also much quieter than the average pellet gun of this price range.
This air rifle is well worth the price and I strongly recommend it.

i bought this gun about a year ago and i love it. i have dropped pest birds, and squirrells from 100 feet up in trees, taken out racoons, possums, fox, and even a beaver with this gun. the scope it comes with isnt very good so i bought a daisy winchester 4x32 AO scope and it was perfect for the gun. my brother is always begging to use this gun when i take him hunting with airguns. i love the nitro piston system, it keeps the animals from spooking and i get a whole lot more critters in a faster amount of time. i would definently recomend this to any small game hunter. just remember to keep the gun still when you line up your sights and it will make you a better shot.

I shoot a lot. Field and range. Lots of different guns. 45 years experience. I know what I'm doing. This pellet gun is a joke. I bought it to shoot pests and just have fun with. What would you expect actually for $150? I mounted a Bass Pro Pursuit 3x9 (great scope for the money) from the get go because I'd read the included scope was junk. I've cleaned the barrel numerous times, oiled the gun as per the manual, constantly adjusted windage and elevation on the scope, run over 1000 different kinds of pellets through it, constantly tightened all screws and mounts, and it just refuses to shoot accurately or consistently. Plenty of flyers. Weird groups. Very inconsistent. The trigger is absolutely terrible and an upgrade for that is $30. So you'd have to put $100 #scope and trigger) into a $150 gun to make it shoot marginally. If this thing is still 'breaking in' after this many rounds then forget it. I bought it to shoot pests and it's virtually impossible to hit with. Even at close range. Tried to shoot a starling at 5 yards and missed. Would not recommend. It's not fun nor is it useful. Look elsewhere.

I went to Bass Pro looking for an RWS 34 Diana and came home with this because of the price, nitro piston, and the fact that the store was out of 34's and I wanted some instant gratification! I was very skeptical about this gun, but read some reviews on the net that gave it a thumbs up. For the price you can not go wrong. I took it out of the box and began hitting spinner targets set up for .22 long rifle right out of the box. It was sighted in and deadly accurate. I was blown away by the power and quiet operation of this gun. The wood stock finish has a lot to be desired, but the mechanics of this gun are awesome. I have not mounted the scope yet, but it appears to be decent. It is a blast with iron sights and I would recommend this to anyone.
