  • Designed to deliver super-long, accurate casts
  • Added weight in tail section forces it to sit tail down
  • ''Easy'' bobbing target
  • Erratic injured minnow action when jerked
  • Super-strong, rust resistant hooks
Cotton Cordell's Pencil Poppers are super striper and big gamefish baits that anyone can catch fish with. Designed to deliver super-long, accurate casts, the Pencil Popper's tail section has an added weight to force it to sit tail down, creating an ''easy'' bobbing target. When jerked, Pencil Poppers jump from side to side with an erratic injured minnow action. Super-strong, rust resistant hooks.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for stripers Load them with BB' s from the bottom. Casts a mile and walks the dog great . I use the red and white and silver blue back. Change the hooks and crimp them down. November 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor I castes into a large school of blues and stripers and did not get any hits then I use a hopkins and get a nice striper August 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked This is the only topwater lure I have ever had success on, granted I only caught one pike on it. The noise and shine it puts off was enough to get a mid sized pike to jump out of the water for it. Appears to be durable, I recommend it. June 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Plastic poppers Of all the plastic poppers I have tried these are the best. Cast well, good action, and catch stripers when other plugs won't. They may not be a good choice for big fish because they are not through wired. I have a buddy that uses them all the time and he has never had one detroyed by a big fish. August 29, 2011

Good for saltwater. I rinse them with fresh water after each use to keep hooks from rusting.
