The Grappler Shad’s detailed patterns, realistic 3-D eyes and jointed body make these deep divers the crankbait of choice for many cold water anglers. When trolled at high-speeds, these outstanding jointed baits simulate the action of a wounded bait fish in distress that bass, walleye and other freshwater gamefish can’t resist. Equipped with strong stainless steel split rings and extra sharp bronze hooks, the tie point and strong bill are specially engineered for added strength and durability.

are you looking for higher or lower amounts of action? higher action will come from the jointed - lower from the non jointed

Details:
I bought these 1/4 oz crankbaits and when I took it out, I was having a lot of trouble casting. The crankbait didn't go very far and accuracy was also awful.

What is the right rod length/action/power?
What is the right reel?

long rods like a 7 to 10 foot med light rod, braided line at no more than 8 pound diamater, the reel of your choice. while i have never used these lures i do use small quarter ounce lues and the set up above is the best i have found. i use an 8 foot rod, spiderwire, spincast reel
