Cotton Cordell Boy Howdy Topwater Lure
Boy Howdy w/ Lager Hooks
Deadly topwater bait recommended by a friend, but he complained that he would sometimes miss fish. I got online and read an article that by changing to #4 Owner Stinger-36 Trebles you could improve your catch. So True, by modifying this topwater bait, my catch in the boat increase especially for night time fishing.

It catches fish but........
This has been one of my favorite topwater lures for many years along with it's little brother the Sassy shad. I still have some over ten years old with teeth marks and tackle box rash. They really catch fish but the quallity of the lures is no where near what it used to be. The crome comes off after only a couple hours of fishing and it has a whimpy eye and hooks. The new lures has a life expectancy of a plastic worm. Too bad

boy howdy chrome & black top
I have been bass fishing since 1953, started using the boy howdy in 1975! Price was 89 cents,I think it's the best top water plug ever made, One thing I do is put on larger hooks!I like the crome& black back best, pearl & black, back second. I live in Flager Co Fl. on Dead Lake. I have cought a ton of bass with this plug! stripers love it too have work it real fast for them. Bought about 100 from the tackel box in Palaka 10 years ago. closed down now. down to just a few left. THANKS James (HOOT) Gibson

The Good Lure
I own this lure and it is a good lure because I caught lots of largemouth bass for two weeks at a lake. They were big.One night I think I caught a motherbass spawning. All I'am saying is I think the cotton cordell lure is
a good lure.
