Cotton Cordell Boy Howdy Topwater Lure
used them for years
This lure is just that! It will lure fish from the depths and is great for different fishes. Ive used it not only for Bass fishing but Sandbass, Strippers and tons of Brim!. Work it slow without a wake, or work it fast for Sandies. Recommend? heck yes! and hang on to your rod! Ive used it in ruff water and calm, lakes and ponds with success in all. Thanks Cotton, and keep em coming.

best topwater i got
these are the best topwaters i have, been using them 20 plus years.i only have two complaints.one i wish are local basspros i.e.,tulsa and oklahoma city carried these on the shelf instead of having to order them online, two i wish they were still made with the same materials as the original.i have a couple of the old ones left, they are missing paint and beat to death and yet they are still my go-to topwaters when nothing else is working, the new "plastic" bodies just don't have quite the same sound or action.

Not As Good As The Old Ones
This lure is pretty good, but it is not made as well as the older ones. I have had the paint chip off and several props not turn at all. I never had any problems like that with the older models. I wish Cotton Cordell would make them the way they used to.

Boy Howdy w/ Lager Hooks
Deadly topwater bait recommended by a friend, but he complained that he would sometimes miss fish. I got online and read an article that by changing to #4 Owner Stinger-36 Trebles you could improve your catch. So True, by modifying this topwater bait, my catch in the boat increase especially for night time fishing.
