Costa Zane 580G Polarized Sunglasses
cheap fragile glass lenses NOT covered by warranty
So happy to save up $260 to get the 580Glass Cabalitos. About year later reaching for them in truck sunglass holder and they fumbled and dropped onto center console. Much to my dismay one lense cracked like a cheap windshield?? Very fragile glass which really doesn't go well with a sporting pair of sunglasses?? So even more to my dismay send them back to Costas and am informed that this is a non-warranty repair to cost me over $100 more? On top of this I ask if I can replace with a different model since they claim to be sending me a brand new pair, perhaps the cheaper non-glass lenses and they say emphatically NO?? Seriously? So to summarize if you want to spend $260 for the best lenses they will be fragile glass so handle like you are carrying around a dozen eggs. I have always thought highly of the brand and I am still dumbfounded by the inconsiderate customer service. Stick with Rayban as i will be doing from now on...probably will be much more durable lenses as well. Glasses were good vision no doubt but what good are they if they are so fragile. My 10 year old polarized oakleys aren't a very noticeable difference.

The Best, period
I couldn't be happier with these sunglasses. The 580 lenses allow better vision below the water than the previous 400 lenses. It is more expensive but if you can afford the glass lenses go for it. The glass lenses are still pretty light but far more durable than the plastic ones.
I bought the 580g (glass) lenses in the copper filter with the silver mirrored lenses. They are great for sight fishing and brighten colors dramatically.
The fit is great. I do not have an XL face by any stretch of the imagination and the wrap around design fits my face well with no visual distortion. The stems taper nicely around your temples for a snug fit so they won't shake loose during activities. The end of the stems near the ear piece fit cablez and the other brands of "keepers" so you won't lose them to a rogue wave or sudden impact.
Consider these sunglasses an investment. You could buy Oakleys or a cheaper brand but Costa is at the front of the pact as far as innovations. The state of the art lenses mean the difference between seeing or missing a fish.
Their customer service is great and glass lenses are extremely durable. If you are going to buy plastic lenses you might as well buy the 400 series for far less money. Even with the best care, you will eventually scratch the polycarbonate versions.

what it is.
I have the blue mirrored type .i've used them on bright cloudy days and on bright sunny days.I'm very happy with the clarity and glare reduction.they also fit great they feel like they wrap around your head to keep them on when boating. The only flaw I found was when I'm driving in my truck on a sunny day i see a small green reflection above the cars windows in front of me.Don't know if It's the polarized glass looking through a tinted windshield or what?. But they work perfect while fishing
