I'm warning you in advance; this review is going to sound like hyperbole.
The short version is, these are the best sunglasses I've ever tried on, much less owned. After wearing the same relatively cheap sunglasses for most of my life, about 4 years ago I picked these up after reading a positive review online that recommended them for those of us with big heads. I initially set out to get the glass lenses, but ultimately opted for the 580 polycarbonates because of the shatter resistance and lower cost. I ended up getting black frames and grey lenses because that's what the store had, and when I tried them on, I wasn't going to leave the store without a pair.
The polarization is incredible. The first time I put these on, it was like I'd never seen true color before. And that never wore off. I wear these constantly, and have since I bought them. I've even repaired them repeatedly - the rubber on the earpieces eventually wore out and fell off (after a period of years), and I've replaced it a couple of times using Sugru. The black on the earpieces has actually begun to flake off, so now they're kind of clear over there?
Anyway, I plan to keep wearing them until the lenses are shot, which looks to be a while yet - they're a little worn, but still better than a lot of the competition. Absolutely worth the price.
