These glasses are absolutly everthing they are said to be. The difference between the other glasses I was wearing is night and day. These glasses are way clearer and sharper while veiwing the water while fishing. The frames are very comfortable and dont let a lot of wind behind the lenses while driving to your favorite fishing spot! I would totaly buy another pair! Dont be fooled by the other guys these are the ultimate sunglasses for all outdoor needs!

Before breaking down and paying $200 for a pair of glasses, I had gone through 3 pairs of $25 sunglasses in one summer--two XPS brands (sorry Bass Pro), and a pair of Calcuttas. I finally gave in and I wish I would have done it much sooner. I've got the tortoise Harpoons with the green mirrored lightwave lenses. One of my best recent purchases!

The Costa Harpoon Glasses I just purchased from Bass Pro are exactly what I needed. Being a Police Officer by profession, I am usually driving about 8 hours a day. The protection these glasses give by blocking out the glare makes my day a lot easier to handle. Everything is super clear now that I have them. No more headaches from wearing the cheap look a likes.

At first I wasn't sure about spending $150-200 on a pair of sunglasses. However I'm outdoors a lot (hunting, fishing, camping, even driving) and would go through 2-3 pairs of cheaper sunglasses a year. So I finally broke down and decided to get a pair of Costa's and settled on the black harpoons and the versatility of the green-mirrored amber lenses. One of the best decisions I've ever made! I bought them in November of 2007 and am extremely pleased with their clarity, performance, and durability. Once I accidentally dropped them out of my climber at 25 ft. I got down and was pleasantly surprised when there wasn't a scratch on them. Great sunglasses! Get them. You won't regret it. I've had mine for 2+ years and they're as good as new!

Unless you have a thin face, you are most likely a L/XL. The M is most likely made for women and children.

They only make them in one size. The two sizes you see displayed on the Costa website is the size of the lens and the size of the frame. The harpoon has a medium large frame and a large lens. When you see the words medium large as a size, it's not two sizes, it's one, the same way that a medium light or medium heavy fishing rod is rated. It's a little larger than medium, but not quite a large, so the size is ML.The sizes of the frames and lenses are constant, they don't change. If you want a different size, you have to choose a different frame. There are others that are similiar. A good example is the brine model, it's a ML lens with a ML frame, but the fathoms are the same frame basically (just a little rounder), but smaller, they are a M frame with L lens.

That's a little weird that they say they can make them in different sizes. As a sunglass associate, I would say compared to the different styles of Costa's, those are a large.However, there are different styles that are comparable to the harpoon that I would consider to be a medium and an extra large.
The Triple Tail is the closest medium version of the Harpoon. It is almost exactly like the Harpoon, only smaller.
The Hammerhead is the closest extra large in my opinion.
However, there are 12 new styles of Costa Del Mar sunglasses that I have yet to see, so I'm not sure if one of those are more comparable for the XL.
