LightWAVE glass lenses are 20% thinner and 22% lighter than typical glass lenses but they still exceed federal standards for impact-resistance.
CR-39 scratch-resistant lenses are a fully functional, lightweight alternative to glass. This lens type offers all the same advantages of the LightWAVE glass but in a more affordable material.  

How to choose your Costa lenses:
Heighten your visual acuity with a lens color that matches your outside conditions!
Amber for driving, low-light conditions, and inshore fishing.
Gray for water sports, beaches, and offshore fishing.
Blue Mirror for bright sun, offshore fishing, and most water sports.

No slippage off your face, lightweight, and the glass lenses are a must. I bought the tortoise frame with the green mirror and love them. Costa's do cost a little more than other brands, but they are definately worth the money. March 28, 2011
