The Upland Jeans II have been working great for me. I've use them in all types of terrain in PA from brush to thickets. Pants are comfortable. For the price they are a great product.

Runs a little long on the inseam so they fit over boots well. The protective layer is nice and tough, a couple runs through some heavy briars and thorns and they still look new. No irritating pokes through the thigh with thorns. They are heavy enough to be worn without a second layer for all of New England's upland season. Highly recommended.

Trudging through thick brush and brambles I have felt nothing through the thick protective layer. Also very little seems to stick to these in terms of brambles and seeds.

These pants fit true to the size you ordinarily order. During a recent pheasant hunt in North Dakota, I wore these pants and blazed through sticks, brush, weeds, briars, and some wacky plants which were the inspiration behind the manufacturing of commercial paper shreaders. After washing the pants, they still look great. Pheasant blood and other stains came right out. It pays to buy purpose specific tools for the job at hand. These pants hit all the check marks. My hunting buddy had quality zip- off hiking pants made by" North" something or another. He paid more, and felt every thorn of the spiney plants we encountered.
