Great for travel. Doesn't wrinkle much, easy to clean, can be a little dressy or a little casual. I ordered the Flax color. It was a little mare brown than pictured, but OK. The only improvement would be some Velcro or snap to secure the back pockets.

I purchased the Ultimate Roc pants a few years ago to wear at work. Being a mechanical engineer, I can be demanding on my clothes, especially my pants. Three years and 6 pair of Ultimate Roc Pant's later, I am still obsessed with them. The pants are lightweight and relaxed fit, this makes those long days in the office or in the outdoors much more comfortable. Not only that, these pants look nice in a casual office environment. Many of my co-workers have commented on how these pants seem to resist everything from wrinkles to stains. As an engineer, what more could you ask for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boar Omni-shield material works
This is the first pair of trousers I have that's designed specifically for outdoors, so what I found might not be anything special for this type of clothing. Yet I was still impressed with how well the Omni-Shield material worked.
The material is flexible, so it is easy to walk in it. It is indeed water repellent to some degree, but not waterproof. In light rain the droplets tend to bounce off.
I hiked for a couple of hours in dense fog and tall wet grass in these trousers. The bottom part got soaked and muddy, but not excessively. Since I was also wearing long underwear for warmth, my legs didn't actually get wet or cold.
As the weather got sunny, the material dried very quickly, and most of the dirt just fell off naturally. I observed this several times, and it was quite impressive to me. The dirt would have stayed attached to other types type of materials (like denim).
I only had the trousers for about 2-3 weeks, so I cannot tell how long they will last, or how long the material keeps its dirt and water repellent property. I did make heavy use of them during this time though (1-week camping trip), and I was very happy with their performance.
The original fit was not 100% comfortable, but it got adjusted by itself after wearing it for 2-3 days.
