Columbia Silver Ridge Shirt for Ladies
I usually don't wear button downs. I just never thought they looked good on me or they don't fit right. I bought this one because I was going to Maui for a wedding (bridesmaid) and needed an easy shirt to get out of without ruining my hair.
After wearing it, I love it! And I really like the way it looks too. I didn't think I'd like the sleeves rolled down, but I even like it that way too!
It is very comfortable. Lightweight enough to wear in the summer. With the long sleeves, even nice for the cold spring in the NW. I'm about 5'8", but the length works, which can be difficult sometimes. So now I'm planning to get more in different colors!

Columbia Women’s Silver Ridge™ Long Sleeve Shirt in Fossil
As other reviewers have said, the shirt runs small. I usually buy M, but bought a L in this and it fits just right. The sleeves are just a little long for the fit, but probably right for someone wearing a large. The fossil color is close to the pictured color. I have a short sleeve white version of this shirt and it washes and wears well.

Great shirt for sun coverage
I was admiring my cruise mate's crisp shirt. It was neat and smart looking. I asked her what brand and she told me Columbia. She layered with long sleeve cotton shirt. She said she washed at night, and it was dry in the morning, no wrinkles. Since sun is a problem for me I thought I would try. I purchased 2 of these shirts. I read the reviews, normally I wear M I did size up to L. It's a little big, especially in the hip area. I may size down as it stretches.
I like the fact that the collar extends to cover the neck. The sleeves cover the top of hand to help stop sun damage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Comfortable but fragile
I washed this shirt once and have worn it two times and I have multiple small holes in front and back, that I am sure I did not cause! This is disappointing enough, but there is a place in the front lapel (~1 inch length) where the material has pulled out of the seam, it was not ripped. Otherwise, the size was good, running a bit larger than other large Columbia shirts I own, (I usually have to get tall in other brands.) The temperature was not an issue for me as with other Columbia shirts, they don't seem to breathe, but this one does. I like the style, fit, and comfort, but just think it's too fragile!
