Wear the Columbia PFG Freezer Zero Polo and experience Omni-Freeze ZERO—the industry’s leading cooling technology! If you want to stay cool as you play outdoors, this is your best bet. New Omni-Freeze ZERO delivers sweat-activated super-cooling with little blue rings that concentrate a cooling agent close to your skin, where it capitalizes on your sweat to lower the overall temperature of the fabric, accelerate the wicking process, and provide instant and prolonged cooling. Omni-Shade® UPF 50 sun protection keeps the sun’s rays at bay, vents keep air flowing, and antimicrobial properties keep things fresh. 92% polyester/8% elastane. Machine wash. Imported.

Great for the southern heat. Nice enough to wear casually or for a round of golf.

I bought this shirt specifically for an extended trip to Thailand. It’s a pretty good shirt, but not perfect.
It is comfortable outdoors in the sun, and it wicks away a lot of moisture. I can’t detect any particular effect from the Omni-Freeze ZERO technology.
It’s also a good shirt to wear indoors in Thailand, because it insulates from the notoriously over-air-conditioned shopping malls, private cars, and tour busses.
My main criticism is that it doesn’t dry fast enough for travel in general, let alone travel in the tropics. If you have a couple of days, it will eventually drip dry. I washed mine in Bangkok before leaving for Chiang Mai, and left it hanging to dry at my friend’s place. Ideally, however, clothes washed tonight are dry tomorrow morning, and this shirt just can’t do that.
So it’s a good shirt to wear when I’m home, and I’ll wear it on day hikes, bike rides, etc.
