I was worried, everyone said the style ran small, so I ordered an XL. I'm a solid L, so I thought this would give me a little wiggle room. I should have gone with the L, so I wouldn't look as frumpy. I've washed it & not worn it yet, so maybe it shrinks in the wash? I've been wearing Columbia Sportswear since the early 90s & knew I could count on their quality.

I have several of these jackets in my wardrobe. They layer well under rain shells for colder weather, and are a nice mid-weight jacket over a tee shirt if there is a chill in the air. My only complaint is that I hate that Columbia changed to putting white lining in the pockets. The ones I purchased last year had color matched pockets which give the jacket a much nicer look when the pockets are unzipped. The white linings to me look cheap and detract from the nice styling of the jacket. Please go back to using color-matched pocket linings.

Bought this for a trip to France but will continue to wear spring and fall at home in the northeast. Was comfortable and warm for chilly days and nights, but lightweight and not bulky. I am 5' 9" and a size 8 - the medium fit was perfect. Clematis blue is a vibrant rich purplish (but not too purple) blue.
