I purchased a 4X for extra room even though I wear a 3X dress shirt. I found the 4X provided me little extra room and infact was more a 3X

Great Quality Shirt
Worn these shirts over the past several years and like them a lot. I have 5 now all in long sleeve - I like the long sleeve because it helps protect from bugs, sun, and comes in handy on cool mornings, plus you can roll them up and use the sleeve tab. Light weight, true fit, and dry quickly. I just use them wash and wear for fishing. A little more costly, but worth it.

My favorite shirt
Cool, lightweight, breathable, and durable. I wear this shirt anytime I go fishing. For a day on the lake in 90 degree plus weather or a crisp afternoon on a river in the mountains, this is my go to fishing shirt. It's a functional piece of equipment for any fisherman.

I guess it is a matter of opinion. I have three of these shirts (and plan on buying another one) and I never iron them after I wash them. I just hang them up and they look fine to me. Maybe I'm just a slob.
I have the same issue with arm length vs circumference of the torso of shirts - and on this shirt as well. The "LT" size is large+tall which for me kept from ballooning in the torso and had long enough arms.
