These shorts are well built and an excellent choice for the water . I wish they were sold in Canada or shipped there .

My husband has been wearing these shorts for years. They are always the same quality year to year. They are all purpose. Fishing, yard work, shopping, traveling, and anything else you can think of. If traveling they rinse out easily and are dry by morning.
They wear well and the color doesn't fade.
Highly recommended.

I bought these just before going to the beach for spring break. They were excellent shorts for the beach. They would dry in 15 minutes and looked great to wear to dinner. I highly recommend these for a great bathing suit. Columbia has their stuff together!

Most of the comments I read seem to be about use as "shorts", not swim suit. Since it is called "water trunks", is this actually to be used as swim trunks?

Yes, these are swim trunks but they dry extremely fast and can be worn as shorts. They are an excellent buy!

They can definitely be used as swim trunks. But, they are so much more. I call them my "whatever shorts" because I can use them swimming, fishing, biking, playing sports, working in the yard, going out to dinner, going to a movie, or whatever. They have secureable pockets perfect for wallets, keys and cell phones. I often spend time at a friends house where I am not sure what the plans are for the evening. They have a pool, so the plan could include swimming. With these, I am ready for whatever.Answers
