Columbia Ascender Gloves for Men
Ascender Soft-Shell for the hands!
Just like the title says--the external material is just like the Ascender jacket - one of my favorites! Even more pleasant to feel the 40g of insulation on the back of the hands. Mock-leather on the palms and fingers assure grip. Water resistant so far--but not sure they will be 100% "water-proof." Omni Heat is, as always, spectacular. I use these for forced marches as well as driving. So far, into the mid-40's F they have been great. Once you get moving, your hands get really hot. For low-temp, sedentary activity you might want to get some liners or upgrade to a ski glove. For light to heavy activity in low temps, these are phenomenal

Not particularly warm, wouldn't wear them below freezing. The palm/finger material seems a little 'crunchy' when you wear them. But they seem to repel water OK so far, and that's what I bought them for. I have other gloves for colder temps.
