The Colorado Cylinder Stoves™ Alpine Stove Package will provide years of comfortable, safe and reliable heat. The cylinder design and heavy gauge steel eliminates warping of the stovetop and holds heat longer, requiring less maintenance and less fuel.
Air-tight operation is assured by the welded construction. By stoking the stove full of wood and shutting the damper down you can have a nice, even burn overnight. The 1/8'' steel holds heat longer and gives off more radiant heat than stoves made of thinner sheet metal. You'll use less wood or coal and get more heat. To keep the cooking surface flat, the top of the Alpine Stove has braces welded underneath. A square-frame welded door will stay flat and ensure a tight seal. Rounded cylinder allows the stove to expand and contract uniformly, virtually eliminating any warping in its body. Ashes settle to the bottom of the cylinder, keeping heat off the tent floor and preventing burnout. Volume: 3.3 cubic feet. Perfect for wall tents 16' x 20' to 20' x 24'. Package Weight: 103 lbs. Dimensions: 28'' L x 18'' W x 14.5'' H. Made in USA.

Great Stove, Just what I needed
I haven't used this stove in my tent yet, but I did burn wood in it for the first time yesterday in my back yard. I installed a different grate other than what came with the stove. The grate that came with the stove laid on the bottom of the stove. I installed a larger grate which raised the wood over the vent holes in the door. I had no problem getting the stove to reach 600 degrees and regulating the heat. My wife had the idea of putting a tea kettle on the stove and cooking a tender loin in a iron skillet. I'm completely happy with the ability to heat and cook with this stove. On the water tank that came with the stove, make sure you use pipe tape on the treads or the tap will leak. Can't wait till hunting season to try this stove out in my 15x18 canvas wall tent.

A freind of mine invited me to go hunting in Idaho with him. He had one of the Alpine stoves in his outfitter tent. I was amazed at how well it worked and how long it held heat throughout the night. The water tank was a great feature, we were never without hot water. It really made our hunting trip enjoyable. When I got home I bought one for myself and I set it up on my back patio. I was also glad to see that it was made in the USA
