I received this tent as a mother’s day gift 2 years ago and love it. The space is perfect for a growing family like mine. I can fit a raised queen air mattress in it, a pack and play, a cooler, 2 folding chairs, 4-5 bags of clothing, towels, toys, bedding, and a small table with room to spare. The light/fan is a great feature but the fixture to hold it to the top is poorly made and breaks very easy; we have broken 3 so far. But I have to say that I called Coleman Customer Service and they sent out new ones at no charge to me. The tent is rather easy to put up but make sure that you read the instructions and put it up the way it is done in the instructions. We put ours up over this last weekend, with the help of a couple of 11 year olds, and it was not put up correctly so when a big wind came up it collapsed, busted one of the poles, and tore a hole in the sleeve where the poles go through. I purchased a repair kit from BP and it is all fixed. We have had this tent in the rain; it was not a down pour, but did have minimal leaking around a few of the seams. Went back to BP and bought seam sealer and water proofer now the tent works better than ever. The instructions are very easy to follow and the tent is easy to set up with 2 people. I have not tried to set it up by myself. Easy to take down with only 1 person and it all fits back into the bag without having to try to finagle it. I love my tent!

This was our first tent and first camping trip. I have five people in my family and we fit just fine. It rained twice while we were out and the tent stayed dry. Love the lights. The fan is not really useful, but love the tent. Really easy to put up. My husband put up once before we went camping and it only took about thirty minutes to set up.
We love it and would highly recommend it.

My husband and I just got back from yet another great weekend camping in our Prairie Breeze tent. This tent is very roomy, and the height of the roof is great for my 6'2" husband--he doesn't have to walk around bent over inside the tent.
The tent is very easy for the two of us to set up. Although I haven't done it yet, I believe I could set it up by myself. Together it takes us about 15 minutes or so. Love the instructions for set up and take down sewn inside the tent carrying bag.
I love the built-in lighting, as it makes it easy to find what you need in the night and easy to find the tent when you're coming back from a late-night trip to the bathroom. We rarely use the fan because the generously sized windows ensure good air circulation to cool the tent on a warm day.
We've had the tent over two years. We've camped with two teens and now just the two of us. We have a lot of room inside to entertain ourselves and house all our gear on rainy days. The tent goes back into its bag easily and is not too heavy to carry short distances. I'm also pleased with how durable the tent is. It's still going strong. I would definitely buy this tent again. :)

If you require a lot of room this is an excellent choice. . I have only used it one time, had it less than two weeks, but was impressed with the quality, ease of erecting and the thought that went into it's design and features.I have no idea just how water-proof it is and may never know because i live in Arizona. I find that most that complain about a tent;s ability to withstand rain have not "set-it-up" correctly. It required my partner and I, (I am 75 years old)()he is 48) twenty minutes to erect- the first time. All the components seem to be well constructed and of excellent quality. WITH the EXCEPTION of the mounting bracket for the light and switch. I had read the reviews given here so i was especially careful and they still broke the first time they were installed. MY GOD COLEMAN, surely you can do a better design on the light and switch!!! I am unsure at the moment just how i will repair the holding mechanism. (More than willing to listen to anyone with a solution. This tent replaces a Coleman Montana- used one time because of the low height extensions. I want to get out of the high queen size air bed and stand up without crawling around on the floor One can walk around in this tent with no stooping. The true factor in determining how good a product is, is to ask if you would buy it again? The answer here is "ABSOLUTELY YES!" We love the tent and with the exception of the light mounting can find no fault in it's design or construction. (My light switch only has one position for light brightness- high, no low or dim position. Unsure if my switch is faulty or that is just the way it was made? Buy the Tent and visit us in the "RIM" country of Arizona, you will never be sorry!

I'm assuming you mean air mattress. If you have a battery operated air pump, you can inflate any size mattress inside the tent. We use Coleman's 4-in-1 air mattress, which is two twins zipped together to make either a tall twin or a low king. This mattress could be inflated outside, folded to make a tall twin and crammed through the door. But we inflate our mattress inside the tent with a battery operated pump.Without a battery operated pump, you should also be able to squeeze at least a full size, maybe a queen size through the door as long as it's not a tall full/queen.
But, seriously, get a battery operated pump and don't worry about your mattress or door size.

No. The fly only comes down about 5-6 inches so you would need to keep the windows closed to keep the rain out. And, since you are in Manitoba, you would also only have about 3 days a year that you would be happy with this tent because it does not keep wind out, warmth in. The entire ceiling is screen, the rain fly doesn't come down very far, and the tops of every window panel do not zip shut so every breeze blows right through. There is NO WAY to keep warm in this tent. The outside temp will be the inside temp.A:Â

We have not applied any waterproofing and just survived a rainy weekend with no leaks. What we did NOT survive was the cold temps because there is no way to keep wind from blowing through. The outside temp will be the inside temp. You cannot retain heat in this tent and there will be a constant light breeze.If you want to take the extra measure, buy a couple cans of Camp Dry and spray it on the seams...or spray the entire tent and rain fly if you want. Make sure you pull the rain fly guy lines tight so it's not touching the mesh ceiling of the tent. Keep the window panels closed and don't let anything touch the tent walls during rain.

Coleman make a tent seam sealer applicant that comes in a small easy to apply bottle.Just clean and dry all seam areas of the tent and rainfly and apply a thin coat.Allow to dry around 2 hours.It can be found at just about any retail store (camping area).

My guess is PE = Polyethylene...which comes in many forms so that wasn't a very helpful spec, now was it?It's your standard, run of the mill, everyday, heavy duty plastic tarp material just like in most tents.

the material that the floor is made of, is a different and stronger material than the sides. Not only does it cover the entire floor, it runs up the side about another 6 inches to help protect the tent even more.(polyethylene)A:Â
Polyethylene. It's a heavier fabric than the walls. I would still recommend using a tarp underneath the tent to keep moisture from seeping up through the floor, and to help protect the floor from roots, rocks, etc.

Funny you asked, I just got back today from a camping trip with this tent..1st day it was VERY windy. And the tent held up just fine.A:Â
The tent moves, well , because it's a tent, but it stays on the ground. We had heavy winds for three days, I just checked and had to tighten up the cords, and it was okay. picture with wind attached.Images for this Answer

This tent handles good in windy weather. Just remember to position narrow end of tent into the wind and stake down the tent and guylines. ThanksAnswers
