purchased for a hot weekend in a tent after unpacking the fan tried the stand, it fell closed when we lightly bumped the picnic table, didn't think there was much air flow but it was very hot so we couldn't tell. When we attached it to the tent it was too heavy so we suspended across the center of the tent by rope, the air it put out was poor even on high, the light worked great, and the fan blades felt safe to the touch, We got rained out and returned it to Bass Pro I will be trying a different one.

The fan and light worked great. I chose to use the fan on the floor of the tent. The fold out stand/legs should be longer since the fan would continually fall over until I found a way to brace them. This was a problem again when I went to reposition the fan later in the dark. BTW, the soft fan blades are a great idea and do not hurt at all.

It's a nice fan that will keep the air inside the tent moving so it will maintain cool.

I bought this hoping to combat the heat on a primitive camping trip in mid-July ( with 80 degree temps at night). Unfortunately, it's small size and foam blades just don't push much air. I resorted to placing it on the floor, directly above my head about a foot away and that was about where it needed to be to have much effect.
Overall, this is built really well and the batteries easily lasted the 2 nights we camped. The light is nice and it has the option to be hung from the ceiling of your tent with the included hook. The only "CONS" I have is that the fold out foot isn't as big as it needs to be and if your tent floor is uneven or bumpy it tends to fall over and won't support itself. Also, I feel this item is a bit pricey for what little it does.
If you're camping without power this is probably your best option for a fan. Just don't expect a whole lot during the really hot periods.
