This is a ok shaker. I got it because its very cheap. It does not hold as much as I would like. It does work well though, but I would rather just buy a salt/pepper pack at the grocery store for a few bucks.

This was a gift to my son, age 32, and camps alot. He likes it. I could say, also it looks nice and takes up very little room. You could carry it in your purse.. or a shirt pocket for the men.

My main application is to have a day-to-day container to carry with me (in my pocket) for use, as needed, wherever I eat. I've found the S&P shaker to be convenient, useful; although slight on volume, especially for pepper. The shaker has been impressive enough for several of my friends to want their own and I've given a few as gifts, too. For the money, the S&P Shaker is a good buy. Finer grades of salt, though, may "leak" a bit through the shaker.
