Should threatening weather roll in, the radio alerts you with an audible tone and visual alarm. A BURP feature vibrates water out of the speaker grill to improve speaker performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BKP166 Great Radio for the $$$
I purchased this radio for use during hunting season in Va. I have used it for several days(from Daylight to dark) on the Lo setting withouit having to re-charge the battery. Radio has several days of being rained on however I have not dunked it yet and has held up very well. Radio works very well and has very good reception in dense timber. Radio is not very heavy and is easy to handle. I really like the channel lock feature which helps prevent accidently bumping the selector to a different channel. Cobra made an excellent radio when they made this unit.

Got this unit based on features (waterproof/floating) and price. Unit looked nice and felt solid. Charged and set up as instructed in manual. Took out on ocean in kayak for a few hours. Was working when I left and not when I returned. May have gotten splashed but not submerged or anything close to it. Obviously disappointed. Returned to BPS.
