I bought these radios hoping to use them on a ski trip. We tested them here in Florida before we left. The range is nowhere near the distance as described. I would recommend spending a little more money for a better radio. I hope I can return them.

These radios work great, instructions are easy to understand. I bought them for my son and I to use when we go fishing on the Kern River. Sometimes we get separated and we can use them to keep in touch and in case anyone has any problems. It would be nice if they were water proof though.

These radios are great. They have great reception and no problem communicating with my partner from miles away. I have had no problems with static. You here everything crystal clear. I love the weather ban on it. I am able to keep up with changing weather on any occassion. Great quality, doesn't feel cheep. Well worth what I paid for them. My husband used to use his cell phone to communicate when hunting. He really loves the radios instead. There were times he had no bars to talk to anyone else with the cell phone, but not with these radios.

FOR YEARS ME AND MY BUDDIES HAVE BEEN GOING INTO NORTHERN ONTARIO TO FISH. THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST 2 TRUCKS AND 2 BOATS. I'VE OFTEN THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING WALKIES SO WE COULD KEEP INCONTACT WITH EACH OTHER. THIS WAS THE YEAR I FINALLY PURCHASED THESE. THEY WERE GREAT FOR COMMUNICATING WHERE WE MIGHT PULL OFF FOR A BITE TO EAT, WHERE FISH MIGHT BE BITING ETC. THEY WERE ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT ON THE DAY OUR MOTOR BROKE DOWN. WE WERE ABLE TO CONTACT THE OTHER BOAT WHO WERE THERE IN MINUTES TO LEND A HAND. THESE WALKIES WERE A PRETTY INEXPENSIVE MEANS TO STAY IN TOUCH AND BRING ABOUT SOME PIECE OF MIND THAT YOU WEREN'T TOO FAR AWAY FROM HELP IF NEEDED.
