Great for the price. I do not understand why in the world there are releases out there that cost so much? Yeah some of them look cool but they in my opinon do not act or react or perform any different then this Cobra. For the price and season after season that you can get out of it, you can't beat it. Never sticks and always fires. August 4, 2011
Great Release !! I purchased this from my local Bass Pro Shop in Orlando, FL. Excellent adjustable wrist strap. It has a solid hold. Reliable for every shot. Adjustable Trigger assembly is excellent. Easy to use. July 10, 2006
simple and functional This is my second of the same cobra releases. My first one is about 15 years old and is ready for retirement. The new one has more wrist padding and is more comfortable than the first. If you want an inexpensive release that works great everytime, for years, then pick one of these up. September 9, 2008
Great Release Price point is GREAT. Solid construction. Dependable. Smooth & Quiet releasing. Comfortable. 360 degrees of rotation is soft & smooth. Only negative thing I could possibly say is that I wish the release mechanism was more of a trigger shape instead of a straight pin. However that is almost completely overlookable. October 8, 2013

A:
The release opens when you pull the trigger but does not lock. Always keep your index finger behind the trigger until you reach full draw and are ready to fire.

This is a very smooth release, there is no snap that I know if, it will release as fast as you pull the thumb trigger.
