I bought (yes...BOUGHT instead of using something I can easily go out in the field and get for the cost of 1 or 2 shotgun shells) some Pheasant wings for 3.99 package of 4 and a Remington bumper for $4.99. The zip ties are really so cheap that it's dificult to price them (about .0333 cents ea.) Total cost=$8.98 (plus .0666) and I have extra wings for when they fall off in a couple of hours. I can add scent to the bumper, my bumpers float and the dogs love them. I've made these for several years and yes Virginia, they DO work.

While it is not as nice as the one I purchased elsewhere, my dog did love it. The one from another retailer had a tail and skin with feathers to wrap around the dummy. This helped everything stay attached to the dummy much better. The zip ties on this one only held the wings on for about 2 days worth of retrieves. Sure, I can get more zip ties and re-attach them but I shouldn't have to. Still, it is about $5 cheaper here than elsewhere for a similar product and has the right scent. My little Boykin Spaniel goes crazy for the scent. I love that with this scent I can teach him blind retrieves. If it was more durable I'd probably give it more stars.

The Item I recievied is nothing like the pic shows. The picture has a completely covered dummy of feathers with a Pheasant Tail hanging out the bottom. That is not what I recieved. I got a White Dummy with 2 feathers zip tied to it. Its not covered at all and there is no Tail. I could have made this with the Dummy I already had and feathers from a recent kill.I dont think it is worth the money. Maybe it would have been if I had recieved what the picture showed.

Lightweight and easy to launch for tracking. As soon as my GSP smelt the feathers, she got excited. My dog loves this. I bought this and the remington pheasant scent to further entice my pup into tracking and locating. Awesome little product that kept the dogs level of intention up for hrs.
