the best I have tried every fin made for wader boots and these are by far the best. The only draw back they have is a large size 12 wading boot does not fit. I now have the new neoprene wading boots in size 12 and they fit perfectly with stocking foot waders in these fins. November 23, 2008
Basic Fins I purchased these to go along with my float tube. I have been SCUBA diving for over 15 years and have plenty of other fins, but I wanted something just for my float tube and that was a little more durable since i was going to be in rivers and ponds. These fins do just fine, they are stiff which makes them very difficult to walk forward in, but just turn around and walk backwards. They seem to work well in the ponds I am in getting me where I want to go as fast as I want to go. I haven't had them slip off or anything. For the price and the quality, you cannot really go wrong. Average at best The fin is very firm and durable, but the boot strap connection is complete garbage. First off, it is too flexible so it allows too much play in the motion. Secondly, it fit my waders, but it didn't fit my hunting buddy's waders. I don't recommend them at all. November 10, 2010
Stiff as a 2 x 4 I bought these fins and tried them out a few weekends ago, my main complaint is that they are way to stiff and put alot of torque on your knee's and ankles. They should get some tips from the manufactures of snorkling fins. My other lesser complaint is the straps kept moving down and coming off the back of my ankles, even when I strapped them on as tight as they would go. I couldn't use my size 11 boot either with the fins. July 13, 2010

not without slight modification for larger sized boots. I know sizes 11 and up will require a slight 2-3 inch cut on the tongue of the fin. Worked for my size 13 boots for 11 yrs

Yes, you can use these fins without wader boots. I would suggest wearing water socks or water shoes to help cushion your heel and protect the bottom of your feet from cuts abrasions, etc.

these fins are made specificly to fit over wader boots. You can try them without boots, but i don't think that they would be comfortable.

A:
I think it depends on the size of the boots. All I can say is that I could not fit a boot or a sneaker in size 13 into the fins. However, I placed water shoes that I got at another retailer over my stocking foot waders and found it to be comfortable all day.

I don't see why not, as long as the boots are not larger than say a size 12-14 they should fit fine.
