Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Shoulder Harness, Period Have been fighting ropes and deer drags of various designs for years. Saw these and immediately noticed that the materials and hardware were actually designed for pulling an ice house, not just a sled. The backpack style straps are comfortable, the two attachment points are well spaced and helps distribute the load correctly. The front connections work like a well-made backcountry backpack - top and bottom connectors are sturdy and not difficult to work with gloves. The hauling hardware is excellent as well- came with long, well stitched webbing straps and carabiners. Good quality hardware. Just replace the old tow rope on your ice house with some eye bolts and fender washers and you have created a sled hauling system that's tough to beat. I can definitely see the advantage of using this system as a game drag too - put this on a game cart or sled and so much more comfortable to haul that deer out. November 22, 2011

A:
It will work with any sled/shanty. I removed the rope from my shanty and I took two eye bolts and bolted them through the holes where the rope was. The harness has two long straps with carabiners on the end. Just hook the carabiner through the eye bolt and your hooked up and ready to pull.

A:
With the Clam 2000- no sled is needed it'a a shanty and flat sled in one.
A pull rope is attached to the shanty itself and when folded up (like a suitcase) it offers two hard sides molded with plastic grooves like the the bottom or a sled. Typically guys just put their gear on top of their folded up shanty and pull it all to the hole as one unit..
