Returned and purchased the basic nail knot tool and much happier. IMO, this may be great for some but for me this tool is no cinch to use.

I first saw this when a very good guide was using it on the West Branch of the Deleware. It is absolutely the quickest and surest way to tie a variety of knots while keeping your eyes on the water,especially if your fingers and eyes are starting to show your age.

I bought this tool on a whim and glad I took the chance. Sometimes the conditions are terrible for me to tie an improved clinch or mono knot. With this little tool, those knots and a host of others (manual included) are simple to tie and strong as ever. It has a clip to keep it in your shirt pocket and a hole in the top for a lanyard. I keep mine on a short lanyard because I don't want to lose it or leave it at home.

This is the best and easiest knot tyer I know of. I have given them to friends and relatives over the years. I would highly recommend this tool.
