Chompers®' flat-footed Stand-Up Jigheads deliver that searching-prey look that's so deadly on all species. Chompers Stand-Up Jigheads have a single wire weed guard to help them fight through cover and premium Mustad® Ultra-Point hook for premium hook-setting performance.
I purchased these stand-up jigheads, but I had to guesstimate how long and how big of a hook they had. When they arrived, I saw they really are just too long and the hook is too big. Yes, the jigs will work fine for long, big plastic baits like a three inch tube bait. But I bought the 1/16th and 1/8oz jigs to use with smaller minnow-like plastics. The jigs could be shortened up by at least 1/3 the length and could use a smaller hook, OR the manufacturer should consider making a separate "finesse" size standup jig.

I use these a lot and have had a lot of sucess with them. Espcecially after the spawn.

Does what it is suposed to do.
If you fish by bouncing a grub down a rock bank or rip rap, this jig works extremely well. Coupled with a hula grub this bait memics a grawdad very well. I have caught various species on this bait including flat head catfish, Kentucky bass, largemouth bass and drum. It is a real killer on Kentuckies.

This is a jig that really sticks them good. Most of the bass I catch on these hooks are stuck right through the side of the cheek with little to no chance of them throwing it.
