I have fished the traditional larger style of jigs before and didn't really care for them. Using a finesse style of jig works well for me. These jigs have nicely colored skirts and weed guards that aren't too heavy or stiff, so I can fish them right out of the package. I have been fishing a lot of stained water lately and the fish eat these jigs up in the 1/4 and 3/8 size. The jigs are priced right too.

The Chompers foorball jigs I used at Table Rock Lake in early August seemed to work well. I used the 3/4 ounce jig in a PB&J color to simulate a crawfish with a twin tail trailer in about 30-35 feet of water. It was the only bait besides a drop shot rig that was producing at that time.

While chompers football jigs are so niceley finshed they look great, if you want to use them more than one time I'd suggest you wrap some thread around the skirt if you want it to stay on. I lost one after about 6 casts. I've always liked their products, however this one could use a little attention.

The Chomper jig is the best jig made in my opinion. I have been fishing tournaments for over 12 years now and have tried a vast variety of lures. The Chomper jig has a slightly larger wide gap hook that assists the fishermen during the hook set. This jig is also very versitile, you can drag it, stroke it or swim it and the outcome is always the same. A bass hooked perfectly in the roof of the mouth heading for your livewell. There a a good variety of colors and the larger hook allows for a better array of trailers to be affixed to this amazing product.
