I purchased this sicer to make my own jerky at home. It works great. Just chill the meat a lil not frozen and it makes great slices. It cleans up easy. It has already paid for itself.

Have only used it for making about 10+ batches of beef jerky. Works great! As stated in other reviews you should have meat mostly frozen when slicing. Have only used for meats so I have no knowledge of fruits, veggies, etc. but from what I see it is great for the money paid.

I have used it twice and so far so good. I did find it dose work MUCH better when the meat is almost frozen.

the meat does not need to be froze just chilled where it becomes stiff. the slicer works better when the meat is not froze.

You could partially freeze before slicing. However, never try to slice fully frozen foods on a slicer.Answers
