DO NOT buy the model 110 unless you want scratched up, dull knives. I bought it and tried it on a couple of pocket knives, thought it was doing a good job, then started on wife's butcher block full of Kitchenaid knives and started noticing they were coming out of the machine with lots of scratches running down the blade, parallel to the edge. The problem is the magnets on the sides that hold the knife at proper angle was collecting all the minute shavings and holding them, and causing the knives to become very scratched. Terrible design and plus my knives are still dull. Just ordered the 120, it doesn't have magnets that scratch knife surface. Beautiful knives look terrible now.

I just returned Model 110 and got Model120 there is a huge differance in the two. The 120 put a hair shaving edge on most blades with a only couple of pulls. Compared to many wth the 110 and wont get that sharp. The springs hold the knife at the right angle. The magnets on the 110, I didnt like. Neither work well with a thick hunting/assassin blade like a Cold Steel Tanto.

Let me first start out by saying that this is the only electric sharpener that I have ever purchased. I'm old fashioned,I've always used a stone to sharpen knives. I hate to complain but I have to. This thing is junk, and it isn't a matter of "you get what you pay for". I see $80 as a chunk of hard earned money.
This thing does not sharpen knives. I tried it on everything from a cheap buck knife,to a higher priced gerber and everything inbetween. Stay away from this one. Once again this is the only electric sharpener I've ever tried,so I don't know if there is even an electric model that works properly, but this dang sure isn't it. Just my .02

Not a qualtity product! I could put a better edge on a knife with a rock. I am so glad i didnt try it on one of my good knives. Save some money and avoid this sharpener.
