Charlie Brewer's Crappie Slider Grubs
Excellent for all fish
These baits are AWESOME. Caught 14 fish with this in 1 hour the other day, including several 1-2 pound bluegill and a 3-lb bass.Used the black/chartreuse on 1/16 oz jighead and just reeled it back steadily. Great action from the tail, but not the most durable bait in the world.

Go to grub
I have been fishing with these since I was a kid. I have caught largemouth, smallmouth, crappie, yellow perch, bluegill, northen pike, chain pickeral, bowfin, white perch, striper, etc. If a fish has a mouth you can probably catch it on a slider. They are not super tough but the action from the soft paddle tail is why this grub is so productive. I call this lure my fish finder, if finds fish the electronics can't. I have boated slab crappie on this grub that turned there nose at live minnows. Rigged with a 1/32 ounce jig head, it falls about a foot a second, so you can "countdown" and put it in the face of a suspended fish. The entire time the lure is in the water that tail is thumping and wiggling, so strikes come on the drop, retrieve, and jig. Very versatile and I never hit the water without a good supply in the tackle box.

In August used the 1 1/2" slider (cotton candy color) in Lake Superior from shore. Caught numerous perch (and some smallmouth bass and a northern pike). Groups of perch would chase the slider - I could only tell when one took it as the bait disappeared in the clear water. The perch did not respond to other small grubs (3 types) that I tried.
