Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jig I have used this jig for the past 6 years for fishing for largemouth. I can't find a better one on the market. Great hook sets with this jig...sharp hooks! December 19, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Defective Slider Heads I have been using sliders for over 15 years and have been very satsified. I recently purchased two packs each of the 1/8 and 3/16 slider heads. The 1/8 slider heads were defective. Each of the two packs (8 total) were incorrectly molded. Instead of the hook exiting in the center of the lead head, it exits at the top. This prevents the worm from aligning correctly with the head. The 3/16 heads were fine. Since all eight of the 1/8 were defective, I assume there is a quality control issue with the manufacturing. I notified both Bass Pro Shops and Charlie Brewer Slider Co. of the problem. If you are planning on ordering the 1/8 heads, I would wait until the problem is corrected and the defective heads replaced. October 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I have been using Charlie Brewer Sliders for more than 4 years. Great product. I do a great deal of Walleye and Bass fishing. The Sliders work very well with plastic worms as they do with 4" Grubs casting. An extremely versatile jig head. July 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for working grass flats and potholes This is without a doubt my favorite jig head. It works so well with Gulp 3” shrimp and D.O.A. 3” shad tails that you would think it was designed for them. When I lived in Illinois I used the regular slider hooks, fishing the rivers for smallies and walleye. The best thing about them was that they didn’t get snagged in the rocks like other jig heads would. Now that I live in Florida I’m so happy that Charlie Brewer came out with the pro series because the regular Slider hooks were not strong enough for Redfish, trout, and snook. The pro Series is strong enough, doesn’t rust or corrode in saltwater, and is fairly weedless. Even when working around floating grass. Couldn’t be happier with this product. September 13, 2011

It's like both a texas and a jighead rig. So would this count as a shakey head?

Thanks

A:
No not a "shakey head" A shakey head is meant to stand the bait up the slider head, well slides along the bottom or on top of the grass/moss.

A:
Shakey heads are a bit different. Typically a Shakey Head the weight of the jig is underneith the plastic. In this sitution the weight of the jig is in front of the plastic.

These were developed as really a small swimbait 30 years ago or so. There are slider bodies that go with them. The thought was you swam the bait back. These can be used on the bottom as well. I wouldn't call them shakey heads though.
