I ordered this hook for my husband who loves to barbeque meat. We had a smaller "hook" that he was very impressed with, so when this "hook" arrived he could not wait to barbeque something big! This particular hook is great for large pieces of meat and/or poultry. Whole chickens, whole tri-tips, etc. Just one flip of the wrist and the meat has been turned over! Wonderful piece of barbeque equipment. Thanks!

Have used this hook several times now since purchasing it, it is nice and long so i don't have to get too close to the heat.
The hook appears to be of good quality and the tip is very sharp. it does take a little practice to get used to it but once you do it is great. would definately recommend to anyone who bbq's

Works great on thinner items like chicken breasts, pork chops and steaks and it's much easier and faster than using tongs. I also like the long length so it keeps your hand away from the heat.
Two things to keep in mind with using this. First, piercing meat can dry it out, so only hook the very outer edge of whatever you're cooking. Second, don't put this utensil in the dishwasher. The hot water and heated drying will ruin the wood handle, so hand wash it only.
This is a great little tool that makes flipping food fast and easy. It's especially great if you're cooking a lot of food for a party. Absolutely worth the money.
