I replaced a 5 burner stainless steel gas grill, a barrel smoker, and a charcoal grill with the Duo and added the smoker/fire box. The gas grill was good looking, but I never liked the flavors it produced. The advantage of gas, though, is speed, so I wanted to keep the option open. The Duo accomplishes every scenario. After seasoning with vegetable oil, I grilled some brats over charcoal. Using the side burner and a charcoal cylinder to light my charcoal was simple and fast. No starter fluid needed. The brats were amazing, with no artificial, metalic, or chemical flavors. The next weekend I smoked a pork butt and a 6 pound chicken using the fire box. A little over 4 hours at 190 degrees was the ticket to the best pork and chicken I have ever made or eaten. Hunting season opens soon, and the big mullet will also be here. I can't wait to smoke some mullet and make fish dip! So far, the Duo is amazing. I have owned at least 15 outdoor cookers, and think the Duo will be the last one I buy.

My wife purchased this grill for me for fathers day. Got it home and assembeled it in no time. We also purchased the fire box for it. Only thing was that therer were NO instructions on how to attach it to the grill. However, it wasn't hard to figure out. My only complaint is that with the smoker box it is a little flimsy when it comes to moving it. However, after getting it seasoned after assembly we had a cook out the next day. I smoked 3 racks of ribs, and they were the best ribs that I have fixed to date.

This is by far the best grill I have ever owned and believe me I've worn out many grills over the years. This is truly a Man Grill, not for just the causal user. when u fire this baby up you best have plenty of hungry mouths to feed because this hardware is meant for cooking. I love the fact that I can slow cook my ribs and at just the right time fire up the gas and throw on the burgers and dogs so it's all ready at one time. I'm waiting for the side grill smoker to be in stock so I can add that as well to smoke and slooow cook. I set this up all by myself even though the manual said it would require 2 people. About an hour and 3 ice cold beverages was all it took and I had a fire in the box. customer service is also Outstanding! One of my thermos was damaged so I call the 800 number and had a replacement on porch in 3 days. This is the best grill money can buy, and it looks great on my deck as well!

Just spend the extra money and buy one for natural gas. You would need five jets for the five burner tubes.
