Cute but poor quality
This mailbox is extremely cute and I get compliments on it all the time. However, within 2 months of having it, it broke beyond repair. Where the head "snaps" into the body to close the door contains a little ball on a spring. It was extremely hard to open at first and then the plastic piece holding the ball in broke. I tried gluing it with no luck. Now the head falls down all the time leaving my mail soaking wet anytime it rains. Love the mail box but will never buy another one again. Unfortunately I didn't have my receipt or the box it came in to try for an exchange and now 8 months later, I've had enough and am buying a new mail box, def not this one though!

Good Novelty Item
This mailbox is a good conversation piece! Don't throw away your old mailbox however. Expect it to last 3 -4 years before needing replaced. Plastic hinge parts will break and the flag will sun-rot over time. Enjoy it for what it is and get a new one when mother nature has destroyed the old one. Vandal screws work well to keep it in place, but (by design) are difficult to remove when finished with the product. A fun mailbox to own!

doesn't pass the mirror test
husband loved this new mailbox, until I tipped it with the side mirror
on my SUV, the mirror moved like it was supposed to, the catfish head
on the mailbox fell off, like it wasn't supposed too. I'm having to buy
a new one and I believe I'll be paying $10.00 more plus shipping than I
paid in the store for the first one. They are not nearly as cute
without the head.

NOT USPS APPROVED!!
it is very neat BUT I got this mailbox and was told by my postmaster that is NOT an approved mailbox. I called the company that makes it and they verified it is not approved "but it is OK in 95% percent of the areas it's used" whatever that means. I think this information should be in the product decription as I brought it to use as a mailbox as it is advertised.
