I guess that i cant really say anything bad about this because ive only used it once and didnt catch anything, but while a was using this, the guy next to me was using "sudden Impact" catfish bait and reeled in a pretty good channel cat in a channel catfish and carp stalked lake near Denver. But i will give it another go in different conditions and/or lakes/rivers and might write another review if i get anything. But it does stay on the hook pretty well though i'll give it that.

I see all of these negative reviews and just feel bad because when i'm crappie or bluegill fishing (relaxing fishing day) i just let this sit out in the water and do cath fish. down here in Massachusetts , brown bullhead are the most common catfish and they eat this if it sits out for a while, i usually use two treble hooks about a foot apart from each other with a splitshot above and between them it keeps it on the bottom better, i let it sit all day and i catch usualy three or four fish every hour or so. the only bad side is after a while the bad will start to fall apart and the zip close with come off. get the chicken liver bag and you should be fine if you do what i do.

Like my last review on prepared baits like this, it will be short and sweet.
- Falls off easily
- Fish ignore it (I've caught more bass on this than catfish)
- Hard to find in stores (that tells you something!)
- Poor performance overall.
There are better baits out there for the price and ease of use. Skipping this would be your first successful part of a catfishing trip!

It makes everything near it stink to high heavens. The bags don't hold the smell in even when completely sealed. I kept mine in a separate catfishing tackle box just for this reason.Answers

All different types of baits work in different parts of the world and cat fish have a very developed scene of smell that punch, dough, and dip baits are designed to utilize. However I you would like to try some that don't smell as bad I've used Shad sides that you can buy frozen that don't smell too bad, You could also try shrimp be sure to buy the stuff still with vane in or even hot dogs have worked for me I find the regular pork/chicken/beef work the best.A:
Can't go wrong with simple chicken livers. Any artificial catfish bait I have used has not brought me any luck.1 of 1
