I'm writing this review because it shows a Siwash Hook . A Siwash Hook is used mostly on Salmon spoons and trolling baits when a treble can not be used . NOW I want to tell you how to use this hook Bass fishing and it works great . I'm currently using it on my Rage Frog . After you put your EWG 5/0 hook in your frog and the hook comes out on the frogs back right in front of it;s legs . The eye on a Siwash hook lays flat when the hook point points up , place it over your main hook with point up and place a hook stay on your main just like a trailer hook on a spinnerbait . The hook points up between the frog legs , not interfearing in any way and you will hook up on 95% of your hits . I have been doing this for years on other type frog baits and it works great . I recommend a short shank # 2 Siwash hook . This hook usally comes with an open eye on the hook and will need to be closed with a pair of pliers after placing it over your main hook . You will rairally ever miss another frog bait strike again .
