I think anyone would be pleased with this knife, I personally think its the best case knife ive ever owned. Although very costly it is made very well and extremely sharp.

I purchased my first Case knife in 1969 and still use it today. It sharpens easily and can hold an edge for quite a while. It's such a versatile knife, that I even use it when working around the yard.

How do Case knives compare to Buck knives?Answers

I like Buck, but it has a nylon sheath and I still like a leather one. The knife is great and holds a edge well. I have had the folding one and carry it on my belt for the past 10+ years. It holds an edge very well.

case knives hold ther edge much longer. I happen to own a gen5 Buck skinner and a fixed blade case I prefer the case over the Buck 10 to 1.

Case knives and Buck knives both are outstanding in quality if you are looking for a working knife. Case knives are easier to sharpen, both hold a good edge, but the Buck knives are stubborn if you let them get dull before you resharpen. It comes down to personal choice. Depending on where you purchase both are close in price.If you are looking for collector grade knives, then I believe your stronger choice would be the Case line.
