This is my first deer decoy and was a Christmas present so it has not seen action during a Texas hunting season yet. It is very life like and it's appearance as a buck is about that of a 2.5 year old. I had some difficulty with assembly, The instructions included with the decoy are low quality and could contain better pictures or drawings about where to attach the provided bungie cords that allow for disassembly and transportation. The front legs were also missing a drilled hole for the attachement of the bungie cord so I was a bit confused at first on how to assemble the decoy. The tail is totally life like, you would think it was real. The twist lock joints for the legs are tight and appear to be well designed. The head was hard to get snapped in place but it does seem solid once installed, time will tell on this part of the decoys durability. It is very light and will be easy to transport and the ground support rods are made of a strong steel bar that will last and will be easy to stick into the hard Texas ground. Being a hunter for more than 40 years, I am looking forward to bow season this fall in Texas to see the results of using a deer decoy.

i bought the higher dollar decoy and thought it would be that much better.....its hard to put together and even harder to keep it together.....i have seen better ones at half the price

Great decoy especially in low light, looks incredibly real. True to form covering looks like a deer hide. Only knock, carrylite proclaims all parts fit inside the body. This is DEFINATELY NOT true, in fact getting the two leg sections and head out of the product initially was an incredible workout and required two people. Beyond that it is a very nice looking product and will be using it shortly afield.

Is this decoy good for my grandson to practicing with a bow and arrow? Grandma is asking.

I want to get the right thing are I will never live it down with 5 guys in the house but this is supppose to be a surprise. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it is not let me know which one is right for bow and arrow. Thank you.

No, this is not a target for bow or rifle. Purchase something like a Redhead Deer target for bow and arrow
